The name Forte (pronounced fort) is derived from the French word for strength, typically referred to in the context of one’s talent or ability. The shield, formed by circuits and pads found in microchips creates a unique icon that correlates with defensive strength, also tying into one of the primary industries Forte Micro serves: national defence.
